GAI Antitrust Economics Institute for Federal Judges

EVENT DETAILS

  • Date: October 18-23, 2020
  • Venue: Napa, CA

The Economics Institute is designed to build an understanding of the economic foundations of antitrust and competition law, and to illustrate how economic analysis is applied to current and emerging antitrust issues.  There is no requirement  of prior economics or antitrust knowledge.

Our Antitrust Economics Institute for Judges provides an in-depth study of current and developing antitrust issues. We aim to introduce and develop the analytical toolkit required to analyze a variety of conduct under the antitrust laws; including: horizontal and vertical mergers; market power; collusion; monopolization; issues specific to the digital economy including network effects and multi-sided platforms; intellectual property and antitrust; and evaluating economic and quantitative evidence.
