The GAI Visiting Scholars Program offers senior antitrust scholars and practitioners around the world the opportunity to engage in specific collaborative research projects with the GAI faculty.


2021-2024 Visiting Scholars

    • Lilla Nóra Kiss, PhD, Visiting Scholar and Adjunct Faculty, Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University

Lilla Nóra Kiss is a Visiting Scholar at the Global Antitrust Institute of Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University, where she engages in groundbreaking comparative research on social media regulatory issues in the US and in the EU. As an adjunct faculty, Lilla teaches antitrust law and consumer protection law in Scalia Law’s LLM Global Antitrust Law & Economics program.     • Przemysław Ostojski, Ph.D., Associate Professor at the Academy of Justice in Warsaw (SWWS)

As a specialist in comparative administrative law, Przemysław Ostojski has published 7 books and about 100 articles in leading Polish, German, Austrian and Czech academic journals. His latest monograph is entitled: Standards of Judicial Review of Administrative Actions in the United States and the European Union.     • Pinar Akman, Professor of Law and Director of the Centre for Business Law and Practice, University of Leeds

Professor Akman specializes in competition law. She is the Director of the Centre for Business Law and Practice. Previously, she held a Chair at the UEA Law School, University of East Anglia. She is an Associate Member of the Centre for Competition Policy at UEA. Prior to coming to the UK, she worked at the University of Ankara Law School, Department of Commercial Law and qualified as a lawyer in Turkey. General Superintendent Alexandre Cordeiro Macedo has a master’s degree in Constitutional Law from the Instituto Brasiliense de Direito Público and a postgraduate degree in Disciplinary Administrative Proceedings from the University of Brasília. He graduated in Law from the Instituto de Educação Superior de Brasília and in Economics from the Brasília University Center – UNICEUB.     • Eduardo Rodrigues, former General Superintendent of the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE)

Eduardo Frade Rodrigues is the former General Superintendent of the Brazilian competition agency, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense – CADE (2014-2017), where he was in charge of merger reviews and anticompetitive conduct investigations. He has previously worked as Deputy Superintendent (2012-2014), as advisor for CADE’s Commissioners (2007-2011) and participated in a secondment at the Canadian Competition Bureau (2008).
