Biographical Sketch
Dr. Alexander Raskovich is the Director of Research for the Global Antitrust Institute (GAI).
Prior to joining the GAI, Dr. Raskovich was a Research Economist for 31 years with the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice (DOJ). In 2004–2005, he served as a Senior Staff Economist for the President’s Council of Economic Advisors, where he advised Chairmen Greg Mankiw, Harvey Rosen and Ben Bernanke as well as other White House, OMB, and departmental officials on a variety of economic issues, including cost-benefit analyses of regulation. In 1994-1995, he was the Victor H. Kramer Fellow in the University of Chicago Law School.
Dr. Raskovich received his PhD, MA, and BA in Economics all from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has published research in industrial organization in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Law & Economics, the European Economic Review, Journal of Industrial Economics, and International Journal of Industrial Organization.
