Eduardo Frade Rodrigues is the former General Superintendent of the Brazilian competition agency, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense – CADE (2014-2017), where he was in charge of merger reviews and anticompetitive conduct investigations. He has previously worked as Deputy Superintendent (2012-2014), as advisor for CADE’s Commissioners (2007-2011) and participated in a secondment at the Canadian Competition Bureau (2008). He also headed a unit of the Brazilian Civil Aviation Secretariat (2011-2012). He holds a master of law degree by the University of Brasilia, is graduated in Competition Policy by the Getulio Vargas Foundation and holds bachelor degrees in Law and in International Relations. He is an invited Professor at the FGV-Law Program, has published articles and books in the antitrust field and has participated as a speaker in conferences and lectures in nearly a dozen countries.
